School Looks To Build On Successful Season
ST. CLOUD -- As the famous saying goes, "there's always next year."
The hockey season didn't end exactly the way St. Cloud State fans would have liked. However, just making the Frozen Four is enough to gain national attention.
The university is hoping the momentum of a successful year carries into next season.
Chad Sheetz is the assistant director of athletic business and finance operations at St. Cloud State.
He says tickets for the 2013-2014 season are not available yet, but expects them to go on sale by the 1st of May.
Next year's schedule for the Huskies is yet to be finalized. Fans may notice a little different ticket-buying experience the next time they attend a game.
The school's athletic department is revamping their website, making it easier for fans to purchase tickets online.
According to USCHO - a leading college hockey website - St. Cloud State averaged over 4,400 fans per home game this season.
Overall, more than 97,000 attendees walked through the doors of the National Hockey and Event Center to witness a historic year for the program.
The Huskies finished their season with a 25-16-1 record and a share of the MacNaughton cup.
