SAUK RAPIDS -- One woman in Sauk Rapids is being recognized for her involvement throughout the community.

Kirsten Stiegel is being named the 2013 Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year.

The Sauk Rapids Citizen of the Year Committee, along with the Sauk Rapids Chamber picked Stiegel for her volunteer efforts.

Stiegel has been active in the Sauk Rapids-Rice school district, Living Waters Lutheran Church and serves as a member of the City of Sauk Rapids Recreation Board.

A luncheon honoring Stiegel and all nominees is set for April 25 at the Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School.

The event is open to the public with a cost of $15.
