Sartell Looking For Letters Of Interest In Filling Temporary Council Vacancy

SARTELL -- The city of Sartell is asking for letters of interest from people looking to fill a temporary vacancy on the city council.

Councilman David Peterson will be deployed overseas this fall as part of his military obligations.

City Administrator Patti Gartland says the council is looking to appoint someone with experience because it is a short-term vacancy of only about seven months.

If you're interested, the deadline to submit your letter is July 18th. The council will declare the vacancy on August 9th and make the appointment then.
