Sartell Applying For Grant For Next Phase of Pinecone Road Improvements

SARTELL -- Sartell is hoping to get some additional funding to help with the next phase of the Pinecone Road improvements.

During Monday's city council meeting, the council approved a resolution to apply for a grant to assist with construction improvements along Pinecone Road from 15th Street North to 35th Street North.

The Local Road Improvement Program grant would be for roughly $1-million to help cover the estimated $6.1-million project.

The improvements would include widening the road, adding trails and street lighting, a roundabout at the intersection of Pinecone Road and 27th Street North and a 3/4 access at Pinecone Road and 35th Street.

The city hopes to begin construction this Spring with completion slated for November 2019.
