Rose Mechavich was born December 24, 1918 in Mayhew Lake Township, Benton Co. to Xavier and Mary (Obremski) Chapp.  She married Sylvester Mechavich on June 14, 1938 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The coupled lived in Foley all their married lives and celebrated 76 years of marriage in June of 2014.  Rose enjoyed gardening and beautiful flowers, and was an excellent cook.  She liked crocheting and embroidery and feeding and watching birds.  Rose liked a good game of cards and enjoyed her trips to the casino.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.  The family would like to thank all those at Care Free Living for their compassion and care for Rose.

She  is survived by her husband,  Sylvester, St. Cloud VA. daughters and son; Theresa (Fran) Diederichs, St. Cloud; Angeline (Bob) Diederichs, St. Cloud; Jerome 'Yum' (Charlotte), Foley and Rose Ann (Jack) Murn, Sauk Rapids, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Brenda and brothers and sisters; Susie Morgel, Clara Bursch, Agnes Midas, Felix Chapp, Bernice Morgel, Joe Chapp, Val Chapp, John Chapp and Edmond Chapp and granddaughter, Cheryl Diederichs.
