Romain A. Mueller, 81, Long Prairie

Funeral Services will be at 11 am, Monday, November 3, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie, for Romain A. Mueller, age 81, Long Prairie, who passed away Wednesday surrounded by his family at CentraCare Health Systems-Long Prairie. Rev. Noah Wehrspann will officiate and burial will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Long Prairie. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home – Stein Chapel, Long Prairie and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.

Romain A. Mueller was born November 24, 1932 in Long Prairie Township, Todd County, Minnesota, the son of Berthold and Erna (Tesch) Mueller. He attended Trinity Church School and Long Prairie Public Schools. He was a truck driver for a short time and also farmed. Romain was once married to Vonda Lambrecht. He worked for Ray Timmer for 49 years and later started his own livestock and miscellaneous hauling business. He married JoAnne Hocking Wagner on August 14, 1975 in Sisseton, South Dakota.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, Farkel, but most of all, loved working with horses.

Romain is survived by his wife, JoAnne, children, Debra (Bill) Gray, Riverton, Utah; Gene (Julie) Mueller, Brainerd; Diana (Wayne) Weyhrauch, Foley; step-children, George Wagner, Mapleton, ND; Bob (Linda) Wagner, Adrian; Anne (Larry) Host, Little Falls; and Mary (Andy) Bergstrom, St. Cloud; brothers, twin Roland (Deanna) Mueller, Levenworth, WA; and Arthur (Marian) Mueller, Cohasset; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, and step-son Greg Wagner.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Lunser, Mason Weyhrauch, Cory Mueller, Justin Mueller, Jared Mueller, Jeff Wagner, Brian Wagner, Tyler Wagner, Bryce Bergstrom, Peter Bergstrom, Tristan Gray, and Erik Kammerer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Rowe, Melissa Schneider, Stephanie Rodgers, Tracy Clark, Kim Mora, and Angela Wagner.
