ST. CLOUD -- The Rocky Horror Show opens at the Pioneer Place Theatre in downtown St. Cloud on this week. It's a cult classic musical based on the book by Richard O'Brien.

The musical is a comedy tribute show based on b-horror films from the 1940s through the 1970s. Amelia Lisi-Rolfes plays Janet--an all-American girl-next-door. She says the characters do a good job of portraying life in the 1950s.

"It really speaks to a lot of the baby boomer generation coming from the 50s and 60s and the nuclear family. Everything was supposed to be perfect and all of a sudden acid rock came into the picture," Lisi-Rolfes said.

Justin Lewandowski plays Dr. Frank-N-Furter. He says you'll love him and hate him.

"He really brings out the best and worst in all of those people around him. I think even though he's bringing out necessarily what we perceive to be the worst, he's helping them understand their humanity," said Lewandowski.

The show runs now through Saturday. Tickets are on-sale at the Pioneer Place Box Office.
