MELROSE TOWNSHIP - The Stearns County Sheriff's Office and dive teams have found the body of a man who went missing on a Central Minnesota Lake on Sunday.

The incident happened at 2:15 p.m. Witnesses say they heard the sound of a boat clearing the water. When they looked out to the lake, they saw a speed boat on its side and also saw someone thrown from the boat. The boat capsized and witnesses responded, pulling a seven-year-old and 10-year-old boy from the water (who were reported to be wearing life jackets). Authorities initially could not find 47-year-old Dale Steinemann of Meire Grove, who was driving the boat. The search was stopped on Sunday after dark.

Stearns County Deputies and rescue dive teams searched the lake again on Monday and found Steinemann in the morning. His body was sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The two boys were not hurt and were taken to Melrose Hospital for an evaluation. The Sheriff's Office says the boys are the children of Steinemann's girlfriend.
