Property Tax Deadline Looms

ST. CLOUD -- Just a few days remaining to pay the first half of your property taxes.

In Stearns County, residents can pay their property taxes in a number of ways. You can pay online by going to the Stearns County website and clicking on "view my property tax". You can set up a payment plan that is automatically deducted from your checking or savings account or pay in person at one of two county offices -- the Westside Service Center or at the downtown County Administration Center.

Finally, you can mail your property tax payment. But, be aware that it must be postmarked no later then Monday, May 16th to avoid penalty.

The postmark must be from the Post Office not a private postage meter machine.

If the payment is made late and does not include the proper penalty, it will be returned to you.
