Police: St. Cloud Woman Ran A Red Light Causing Rollover
ST. CLOUD - St. Cloud police say a St. Cloud woman blew through a red light and caused a crash and rollover. The incident happened just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Eighty-two-year-old Elvira Vandiest of St. Cloud was driving south on 29th Avenue North when she went through the intersection at 12th Street North. Fifty-four-year-old Janet Hauge of Sauk Rapids was going east.
Witnesses tell police that Vandiest entered the intersection on a red light, struck Hauge's vehicle, and caused her vehicle to overturn on its side.
Hauge was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Vandiest was given a ticket.
