Join The Picnic At The Market This July Fourth
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- Even though it is the 4th of July on Saturday, the St. Cloud Area Farmers Market is going on.

President Robin Heinen says they are hosting a special "Picnic at the Market".
We're going to have a picnic theme going for that day. We'll have some picnic blankets around, activities for the kids, and just a time for people to come and pick up what they need for the 4th of July that day.
They'll have a lemonade and dirty soda stand, and yard games set up as well. Heinen says she expects about 25 vendors to be there.
Heinen says strawberries and raspberries are in season right now, with the summer produce starting to come in.
I've seen some kohlrabi there. Tomatoes will be coming soon. Sweetcorn too. A little bit later in the season, watermelon and things like that. I would say in the next couple of weeks, all the produce you'd expect should be there at the market.
Heinen says it's been a good growing season so far in central Minnesota with some timely rainfall.
The St. Cloud Area Farmers Market is on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until noon in the Lady Slipper Lot in downtown St. Cloud.
