ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The Paramount Center for the Arts in downtown St. Cloud is bringing back its summer movie series.

This has been a fun thing for us to bring back to the Paramount. A lot of people have memories of coming to the Paramount as a kid back in the day and seeing movies on the big screen.  We've been doing this for the last few years.

Executive Director Gretchen Boulka says they'll be showing E.T. The Extraterrestrial on June 11th, The Parent Trap on July 14th, and Goonies on August 17th. The movies start at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5.

Other shows on the Paramount stage this summer include Jay and the Americans on July 9th, the Glenn Miller Orchestra on July 28th, and That Arena Rock Show on July 30th.

During the summer months, there are fewer shows on the big stage at the Paramount Center for the Arts in downtown St. Cloud, but it's still a buzzing place of activity. The visual arts department is getting ready for its summer camps in July and August.

If you have a kid in your life at a certain age who might be interested in different parts of being a creator.  Whether it's ceramics, glass, or drawing. Lots of fun opportunities in the summer.

Boulka says the camps are open to kids ages 7 to 14. They still have some openings, which you can sign up for on the Paramount Arts website.
