One Person Dead In Highway 23 Crash
ROCKVILLE - One person is dead and two others are injured in a crash where a driver allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened around 10:00 p.m. Friday on Highway 23 near County Road 8 in Rockville.
According to authorities an SUV driven by 30-year-old Abdikahin Osman Abdi of St. Cloud was going east on Highway 23 when he hit a car that failed to yield at a stop sign.
The driver of the car, a 38-year-old male from Clear Lake, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 30-year-old Samantha Mcculloch of Clear Lake was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Abdi was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The name of the driver will be released around 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
