One Hurt in Crash on I-94 Near Freeport

FREEPORT -- A man was hurt in a crash on Interstate 94 in Stearns County last Friday night. The incident happened near Freeport around 9:15 p.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a car going east on Interstate 94 entered the median, hit and went through the cable barriers, and came to a stop on the westbound side of the median.

The driver of the car, 27-year-old Scott Ziegler of Columbia Heights, was taken to Melrose Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say they believe alcohol was involved.
