SARTELL -- With the location for the new Sartell High School decided, city officials are now wondering how it will impact regular traffic in the area.

During this (Monday) evenings council meeting, the discussion of updating a traffic study for Pinecone Road was brought to attention.

City Engineer Mike Nielson says the study was done before the city knew where the high school would be built and felt it was beneficial to take a second look.

The study will focus on the intersections of 27th Street North and Pinecone Road to 35th Street North and Pinecone Road and analyze the impact of increased traffic and pedestrian patterns.

After further discussion council unanimously approved to update traffic study.

The cost for the study will be about $11,000.
