WAITE PARK -- A new high-intensity, interval training fitness center is coming to Waite Park.

Orangetheory Fitness is a five zone, heart rate based, interval training studio customized to your level of fitness.

Owner Barbara Olson says the club is a perfect combination of group training, and personal training designed to push you to your limits.

"It's completely unique, there isn't anything else like it. It is a beautiful marriage of personal and group fitness and pushing ourselves into the training we find difficult," says Olson.

Each workout involves 30 minutes of cardio training and 30 minutes of strength training in the one hour class, led by a certified instructor.

Olson says each member wears a heart monitor to help push you into the Orange Zone, which triggers an afterburn effect to burn more calories once the workout is over.

"Because we use your actual heart rate to monitor your progress in the class, we can push you into heart rate zones safely that you wouldn't push yourself into alone. Then everyone gets the workouts they need," says Olson.

Each class can have up to 24 people and will run every hour and a half Monday through Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Olson says they are currently remodeling their building at 110 2nd Street South, next to Pizza Ranch, and they expect to be open by the end of November.

The are currently holding pre-sale memberships rates. The closest Orangetheory Fitness to St. Cloud is in Maple Grove.
