MnDOT To Observe Worker Memorial Day Today
UNDATED -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation is commemorating Workers Memorial Day today by honoring the 46 workers who have died while working on construction projects.
The agency's statewide observance includes 10 seconds of silence to honor those MnDOT's employees who were injured or killed on the job.
MnDOT reminds you to slow down and pay attention in work zones.
The number of Minnesota work zone crashes increased from 1,788 in 2009 to 1,915 in 2010.
