Minor Injury Vehicle Crash In St. Augusta

Shortly after Midnight this morning the Stearns County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle accident with injuries off Country Road 7 and 43rd Avenue in St. Augusta.

Benjamin Charles Lortz of St. Cloud was traveling south on County Road 7 when his car failed to make the corner at 23rd Avenue. The vehicle ended up in a holding pond and sank a short time later. The driver and passenger, Cody Thomas Erickson, were able to make it out of the vehicle unassisted.

The passenger sustained minor cuts to an arm and was treated on the scene. Nobody was transported to the hospital. The crash remains under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
