While this year, the Minnesota Timberwolves games can either be watched in person, or you will need to watch on a streaming service.

It was announced in October that the Wolves games would be available through Fanduel Spots Network, which was formerly Bally Sports, or thorough TNT for 8 games, 9 games will be on ESPN, 2 on ABC and 7 on NBA TV - these are national broadcasts.

Now, just announced this morning, you will be able to watch 5 Timberwolves games on KARE 11 ... for FREE!!!

The announcement just came in this morning just after 6am.

“KARE 11 is proud to bring this slate of Timberwolves games to fans in Minnesota and NW Wisconsin,” said Doug Wieder, president and general manager of KARE 11. “Local sports are in our DNA, and we’re thrilled to offer these games for free to more Wolves fans in more homes than ever before.”

So, now, if you want to cheer on the Wolves, to hopefully another season like last year, with hopefully an even better outcome, you do have another option that is FREE!  At least for 5 of the regular season games.  It's been 12 years since the Wolves have been available on a free network, and it's been since the late 90s - early 2000s since they have been broadcast on KARE 11.

Here are the 5 games that are scheduled to be on KARE 11:

So, Minnesota Timberwolves fans rejoice!
