Minneapolis Murder Suspect Found Hiding, Arrested
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police have arrested a man who they say hid at a relative's home after fatally stabbing another man.
The department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested 26-year-old Quanan Machacek on Wednesday after he was charged with first-degree premeditated murder on Friday. He is being held in the Hennepin County jail on $2 million bond.
Witnesses tell police he stabbed 25-year-old Cody Rasche in the neck area during a fight on Sept. 10. An ambulance took Rasche to an area hospital, where he died in surgery.
Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
