Man Seriously Hurt In Head-On Crash

EDEN VALLEY -- One man was seriously hurt in a two vehicle crash in Meeker County Monday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened just before 6:00 a.m. on Highway 55 in Manannah Township east of Eden Valley.

Thirty-seven-year-old Milton Arocho of St. Cloud was driving west on Highway 55 when he collided head-on with 49-year-old Patrick Ampe of Eden Valley who was heading east.

Ampe was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Arocho was taken to CentraCare Hospital in Paynesville.

The State Patrol says icy roads were a factor.
