Man Hurt In Willmar Crash Involving Semi

WILLMAR -- The Minnesota State Patrol says one person is hurt in a crash involving a semi in Kandiyohi County.

The crash happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in Willmar. The semi was traveling north on Highway 71 when it exited to Highway 12.

The driver of the semi stopped at the light, then continued back onto Highway 71, pulling out in front of a pickup that was traveling west on Highway 12, causing the crash.

The driver of the pickup, 40-year-old Jeffrey Stegeman of Atwater was taken to Rice Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, 63-year-old Michael Erickson of Balaton, was not hurt.
