Man Hurt In Elk River Crash

ELK RIVER -- A Duluth man was taken to the hospital after a two-car crash in Elk River.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to reports of a crash the intersection of Highway 169 and 193rd Ave. Wednesday at 10:15 a.m.

An eastbound car driven by 66-year-old Kathleen Thurston of Zimmerman entered the intersection and crashed into a northbound car driven by 68-year old Frank Scouten of Duluth.

Scouten was taken to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Thurston was uninjured.
