Longtime Tri-County Humane Society Veterinarian Dies

ST. CLOUD -- Staff at the Tri-County Humane Society are mourning the loss of one of their friends and colleagues.

Shelter veterinarian Dr. Lois Harmon died Monday after 13-years working for the organization.

Harmon started as a part-time employee for the Tri-County Humane Society in 1986. She became the shelter veterinarian in 2005 after graduating from the University of Minnesota Veterinary School.

A message from the Tri-County Humane Society says "during her time, she helped over 40,000 animals and touched the lives of countless staff and volunteers who worked with her."
