Linda Stumvoll, age 59, of Foley, died Friday, April 24, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The Rev. Thomas Olson & Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 Tuesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church. Parish Prayers will be 5 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.
Linda Stumvoll was born June 5, 1955 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Raymond and Dolly (Sand) Boelz. She grew up near Rice, MN and graduated from Sauk Rapids High School. She attended Saint Cloud State University and graduated with a degree in Social Work. Linda married Steve Stumvoll on August 12, 1978 at Annunciation Catholic Church, Mayhew Lake. Linda and Steve had four children: Katherine, Christopher, Amy and Gregory. Linda lived a devoted life of service to those around her. Her service began early in life as an active member and volunteer of Benton County 4-H. She had fond memories of 4-H, including meeting her future husband, Steve, on a trip to North Carolina. Linda made her career in Community Education as Director in Sauk Rapids for 11 years and Director for the Foley School District for 23 years. After retiring from Community Education, she worked with the Boy Scouts of America. Additionally, she found service opportunities as an active member of her parish council, Christian Mothers, Foley Chamber of Commerce, Foley Wrestling Club, Falcon Touchdown Club and Saint John's Area School. In her free time she loved baking, gardening, canning, scrap-booking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Steve, Foley; sons and daughters; Katie (Jon) Aligada and their children, Mailyn and Reyna; Chris Stumvoll; Amy (Bryan) Thompson and their child, Blake; Greg (Katie) Stumvoll and their children; Cael, Quinn and Greer, brothers and sisters; Donna (Earl) Schmidt, Clear Lake; Raymond (Evelyn) Boelz, Sauk Rapids; Rodney Boelz, Black Duck and Deb (Jeff) Tschida of Little Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dolly and her sister, Mary Kemling. Linda's wishes were for memorials in lieu of flowers. Memorials are preferred to Saint John's Area School or the Foley Wrestling Club.
