Choad Tip: if you're a concert promoter, keep your hot takes to yourself. At least until after the show, and definitely not right before it.

Earlier this week, a Brainerd concert promoter's misogynistic hot take on social media caused an uproar and got his concert cancelled after bands and sponsors withdrew from the event. Within hours, a new festival stepped in.

A student of mine from the Mark Munson Rock Music Camp stepped up right away; securing a stage, a sound system, and some of the bands from the cancelled festival. The site stayed the same since the venue still had a permit.

It was amazing to see the community come together so efficiently.

Admission is just $10, with 70% of all proceeds going to the WeARE Clinic, a nonprofit organization that advocates for reproductive education.

The fun and fellowship of Fellowship Fest 2024 kicks off at noon on Saturday, August 3rd at 208 S 10th Street in Brainerd under the water tower (not the castle-looking water tower) in front of Play N' Trade.
