A Minnesota golf course and its owner are going to be on national television. The South-Central Minnesota golf course owner took to social media for 'help' on what he should discuss on 'The Big Swing' with Jimmy Roberts. Fans of the course, rather than give ideas, encouraged the owner to be himself instead.

A 'Haunted' Club House & Graves

Montgomery National Golf Club, located in Montgomery, which is about 45 minutes South and West of Minneapolis, is going to be featured on the Golf Channel in the near future.

The golf course, which has been recently renovated to be a living tribute to the Beatles, complete with a yellow submarine, guitar-shaped bunker, and holes named for Beatles songs, also has some other quirky things hanging around.

Two grave markers are on the first hole; they are the original land owners, and reportedly the old clubhouse was haunted by former owners who would peer into the windows from outside.

Owner Greg McKush told WCCO in 2021 that "one of these early settlers supposedly strolls the course in his hat and overalls."

Montgomery National posted to social media about the upcoming opportunity and asked regulars to offer up some other stories to share, and rather than get ideas, many locals offered up words of encouragement to McKush instead.

PLEASE HELP - Spoke to Jimmy Roberts (NBC, ESPN, kinda a big deal). He wants to interview me on his golf channel show, “The Big Swing” 45 minute of me telling my odd stories…Beatles, Haunted, Clubhouse and so on. I’m nervous that I don’t have enough material/stories to fill that time. If you can think of any fun stories Please Help.

The Big Swing Airs On The Golf Channel

It's unclear when the interview will be or when it will air, but if they are going to focus on the haunted aspect, we might have to wait until October. Fans of 'Monty' National or The Big Swing can watch the show every Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. Central Time, with repeat airings at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
