With the Minnesota State Fair coming to an end, many people are already missing their favorite fair foods.

The good news? Just because the State Fair is over doesn't mean your food fix is.

THEY ARE HITTING THE ROAD

It looks like you won't have to wait a whole year to have some of your Minnesota State Fair food favorites.

Several of this year's popular Minnesota State Fair food vendors are hitting the road this fall, giving you another chance to grab more of your favorites, or maybe try the ones you missed this year because you ran out of time.

THOSE TASTY APPLE FRIES ARE STILL AROUND!

One of the biggest food hits of the 2026 Minnesota State Fair was a brand-new offering: Minnesota's Original Apple Fries.

Apparently, people REALLY wanted to try them because the line was one of the longest at the fair.

The apples are freshly cut, fried, and tossed in cinnamon sugar, then served with caramel for dipping.

You can find Minnesota's Original Apple Fries at the 'Minnesota's Original Brat Dog' stands at U.S. Bank Stadium near sections 143, 33 and 345. They're also available at Huntington Bank Stadium near section 206 and the West Plaza.

CAN YOU SAY 'TANGHULU?

Lemochi Japanese Confections was another new addition to this year's fair.

The vendor served tanghulu, which is fruit on a skewer covered in a crunchy candy coating.

And if that sounds like something you'd like to try, you have several opportunities coming up.

Lemochi will be at the Happy Days Festival at Ramsey City Hall on September 12th, White Bear Township Day at Polar Lakes Park on September 19th, and Twin Cities Veg Fest at Harriet Island Park in St. Paul on September 20th.

GOTTA LOVE THOSE ELOTE TOTS!

Tot Boss made quite an impression at this year's fair with their Elote Tots.

If you didn't get your fill of those crispy little potatoes, the food truck will be making appearances this fall.

You can find Tot Boss at the IWP Car Show in North St. Paul on September 11th, the History Cruze Car Show in North St. Paul on September 18th, and the Rosemont Food Truck Festival on September 19th.

OTHER FAIR FAVORITES YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS

Minneapple Pie is also taking its famous deep-fried pies to the Fall Harvest Festival in Delano on October 3rd and 4th.

If you were a fan of 'Roon's Savories', there's another place to get one of those savory hand-rolled waffle cones.

Roon's serves cones filled with things like BBQ pulled pork mac and cheese, chicken salad, and chicken tinga with rice.

You can find them at U.S. Bank Stadium near section 214.

WE JUST CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT SWEET MARTHA

Let's be honest.

For some people, it isn't really about the Minnesota State Fair at all. It's all about Sweet Martha's Cookies.

You can actually get Sweet Martha's frozen cookie dough outside of the fair. It's available at several grocery stores around the Twin Cities, including Cub, Hy-Vee, Jerry's, Kowalski's, and here at home at Lunds & Byerlys and Target.

That means you can have warm Sweet Martha's cookies in your own kitchen without fighting the crowds or looking for a parking spot.

I'll take that deal.

FAIR VENDORS THAT ARE EXISTING RESTAURANTS

Several vendors you know from the State Fair also have restaurants around the Twin Cities. If you fell in love with any of the following offerings at the Minnesota State Fair, here is where you can find them.

In Minneapolis, you can visit:

  • French Meadow Bakery & Café
  • Que Viet
  • Baba's Hummus House
  • Saturday Dumpling Co.

Midtown Global Market is also home to:

  • Manny's Tortas
  • Irie Jamaican Express and
  • El Taco Torro.

In St. Paul, you can find:

  • El Burrito Mercado
  • French Meadow Bakery
  • Café and Mancini's.

REMEMBER THIS...

Just because a State Fair vendor is serving food somewhere else doesn't necessarily mean you'll find the same menu items they had at the fair, so it's probably a good idea to check before making a special trip.
