FOLEY, (AP) - A plea agreement calls for a Sauk Rapids woman to spend 30 days in jail for the asphyxiation death of her infant daughter and a positive drug test for her 1-year-old child.

Twenty-six-year-old Nicole McKay has pleaded guilty to child endangerment in the 2013 death of her 2-month-old daughter. A medical examiner determined the child suffocated after McKay fell asleep with the infant after doing drugs.

McKay has also pleaded guilty to leaving drug paraphernalia where her toddler could reach it. The boy later tested positive from meth, heroin and oxycodone. McKay faces sentencing June 5. The plea agreement calls for sentences in both cases to run consecutively and for McKay to serve 30 days in jail.
