ST. CLOUD -  Granite City Days kicks-off today with the WJON 5K run/walk at 8:00 a.m. at the St. Cloud Public Library.

The grand parade will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a new route this year through the downtown.  This year's grand marshal is longtime former WJON newsman Paul Stacke. There are more than 100 units in this year's parade.

A unique event called the "BIC One Design Challenge" will be taking place at Lake George at noon.

The streets downtown will remain blocked off to traffic after the parade for the Downtown Walkabout.  That runs from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.

St. Cloud streets that will be closed for today's events include:
- West St. Germain Street from Osseo Avenue to 6th Avenue North
- 6th Avenue North from West St. Germain Street to 12th Street North
- 5th Avenue North from 2nd to 12th Street North
- 4th Street North from 5th to 6th Avenue North
- Osseo Avenue North from West St. Germain Street to 2nd Street North
- 18th Avenue North from West St. Germain Street to 2nd Street North
- McKinley Place North from West St. Germain Street to 2nd Street Noth

And this evening the Stearns History Museum is hosting one of their Historic Pub Crawls.
