Former Queensrÿche frontman Geoff Tate is hitting the road to perform an iconic concept album in its entirety...for what he says is the last time.
Good news for Minnesotans (which is getting kinda rare in terms of tour news): he's making a stop in Minneapolis, and there are still balcony and general admission tickets remaining!

Operation: Mindcrime
A concept album/rock opera released by Queensrÿche in 1988, Operation: Mindcrime follows the story of a drug addict named Nikki. Nikki gets disillusioned by a corrupt society (oooh, relatable!) and becomes a political assassin. Read the full story (and crank up the album!) here.

- the album took nearly two years to produce
- the album was recorded, mixed, and mastered in the digital format
- the concept of the album was inspired by Geoff Tate's casual chats with a militant Quebec separatist movement, as well as his memories of friends who became junkies
- in 1990, a live recording of the album performed in its entirety called Operation: Livecrime was released
- in 2006, Operation: Mindcrime was re-released as a box set
- also in 2006, a sequel - Operation: Mindcrime II - was released, which continued the story of Nikki
- Kerrang! magazine ranked Operation: Mindcrime as the 34th greatest heavy metal album of all time in 1989.
