Eveleth Man Accused of Stabbing Brother Twice
EVELETH - A 23-year-old Eveleth man who's accused of stabbing his younger brother twice has been arrested on tentative charges of first-degree assault.
The 20-year-old victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Eveleth police received a report Friday afternoon of a stabbing. They say a male caller told dispatchers he had just stabbed his brother.
The caller allegedly made threats about also having a loaded gun. Police surrounded the home, and after a 30-minute standoff persuaded the suspect to give himself up.
Police say a knife was recovered but no gun.
Investigators say they're still working to understand what started the altercation.
