Doris A. Rono, Sartell, 82

Funeral services will be 1:00PM on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Doris Anne Rono, age 82, of Sartell who died Friday, July 18, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Mark Innocenti will officiate and burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Friends and relatives may call from 12:30 to the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Doris was born October 11, 1931 in Fort Madison, Iowa to Edward and Helen (Fraune) Roxlau. She married Leo Rono on May 28, 1971 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Doris worked for the following Veterans Administrations De Moine, IA, Fort Snelling in St. Paul, MN, St. Petersburg, FL and Seattle, WA as a clerk and supervisor. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Doris enjoyed reading and traveling; above all else she had a sweet personality and could make friends with everyone she met. She will be dearly missed.

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Leo of Sartell; son, Michael (Joanne) Bean of Brooklyn Center; grand-daughters, Michelle (Josh) Britton of St. Paul, Emily Bean of St. Louis Park; siblings, Robert Roxlau of Donnellson, IA, William Roxlau of Donnellson, IA, and Mary Van Pelt of Fort Madison, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
