Donna Jeanne Kruchten, 88, St. Cloud

January 17, 1927 - August 29, 2015

Donna Jeanne Kruchten passed away Saturday at Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids, MN. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 2 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud with Rev. LeRoy Scheierl officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Williams Dingmann Funeral Home, 1900 Veterans Drive, St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.

Donna was born January 17, 1927 in St. Cloud Minnesota to Dr. George and Lillian Cook. She graduated from Cathedral High School and attended The College of St. Benedict. She married Ralph Kruchten on June 9, 1948. Donna was an artist and homemaker. She worked in her home for a number of photographers tinting pictures prior to colored photography. After her children were raised she pursued her love of painting, creating many beautiful works of art which she shared with her family. Donna loved her time outdoors camping or at the lake. She would spend hours fishing in a boat or off the dock.

She was a mother of eight children, and managed a welcoming household that extended beyond her own family. She enjoyed surrounding herself with friends of her children and often provided them a place at her table and a warm bed.

She is survived by her children, Kris (Lee) Pflepsen , St. Cloud, Kathy (Jeff) Jennings, St. Cloud, Tom (Sue), Park Rapids, MaryKay (Geary) Yaeger, Sartell, John (Jean), St. Cloud, Jeanne (Jim) Feeny, St. Cloud, Kevin (Angie), Pequot Lakes, Pat (Shana), St. Cloud. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 6, 2008, her parents and brother Dennis Cook.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to Good Shepherd Community Activity Fund.
