SARTELL -- Heavy hearts filled those that walked into St. Francis Xavier Church this (Tuesday) evening to remember their friend, neighbor and classmate.

Hundreds of people piled into the church to support the family of Tom Bearson, who was found dead Tuesday morning in Moorhead.

"We gather this evening friend, family, classmate, neighbor, co-worker and community member with deep sadness in our hearts," says Pastoral Associate Deborah Rudolph.

A candlelight prayer service was held to pray for the family that lost their son.

Songs, prayers, hugs and tears were all shared by many Sartell residents as the community mourned the unexpected passing of Bearson.

Fargo police say a body matching the description and clothing of Bearson, who was missing since Saturday morning, was found outside at Larry's RV in Moorhead.

Bearson was a freshman at North Dakota State University and graduated from Sartell-St. Stephen this past spring.

Saint John's University will also host a vigil in memory to Bearson tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9:00 p.m. in the Emmaus Chapel.
