COLD SPRING -- For the city of Cold Spring, baseball isn't just a hobby but a way of life. The town has three baseball teams and to help raise money for it's current ball park the teams came together for the first annual "Day at the Park" fundraiser.

"Well my idea was called a day at the park, a let's do what ever you can at the park that day," says Kurt Hemmesch.

There is a $20 entrance fee that will allow you to see all three baseball teams play in a seven inning baseball game, as well as a concert performed by the Fabulous Armadillo's which will begin at 8:00 p.m.

The fundraiser is for the Cold Spring Baseball Association to help renovate the ball park because in the 2015 season Cold Spring will host the State Amateur Baseball Tournament.

Some of the renovations they are looking at making are improvements to the concession stands or putting in a party deck along the first base line.

"We are looking forward to seeing how the concert will go tonight," says Hemmesch. "We want to make some improvements here at the ball park and we will see what today brings."
