Chipotle Takes Pork Off The Menu
ST. CLOUD -- If you're a fan of Chipotle's Carnitas topping you're going to have to order something else.
Earlier this week, the Mexican food chain has stopped serving the pork product at hundreds of it's restaurants around the country.
Spokesman Chris Arnold says they have stopped serving the popular topping after suspending a supplier that violated its standards.
He says one rule that Chipotle makes with its suppliers is that pigs are raised in humane conditions.
St. Cloud has two Chipotle Restaurants, one in downtown St. Cloud and the other off of Highway 23.
Both locations have signs posted that read "SORRY, NO CARNITAS."
No timeline for when the topping would return has be released.
