Benton County Amnesty Days Scheduled For Saturday

FOLEY -- Benton County residents can get rid of some unwanted items Saturday.

The annual Benton County Amnesty Day will be held at the Benton County Public Works facility in Foley from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Accepted items include appliances, tires, furniture, paints, fluorescent bulbs, pesticides and more.

Items that won't be accepted include antifreeze, explosives, oil and oil filters, yard waste and office equipment. Most items are free to dispose or will cost a small fee.

On-site officials will have final say on pricing and what items are acceptable for drop off.

This is a popular event and you should expect delays in the earlier hours.
