LITTLE FALLS -- It's been three years Thursday since the death of a Little Falls man who was shot and killed while hunting on his parents property.

The murder of Terrence Brisk in 2016 remains a mystery and authorities continue to search for answers. Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says based on evidence, they don't believe this was a random incident, but rather an act of violence.

What we haven't released in the past is we know the suspect was in close proximity to Terry. The fact is Terry would have clearly been able to see the suspect and probably would have had interaction with the suspect prior to the shooting.

He says his office and the FBI are actively investigating the case, but leads have been limited.

Early on there was a few calls that came in, but I can tell you right now tips are limited, that's why we are really asking for the public's assistance. We want to make sure the facts aren't blurred, which is why we want to give the facts out there that we can share. But by no means do we consider this a cold case because we are looking at it weekly.

Back in 2017, authorities made a huge discovery finding Brisk's rifle, which they say was used to kill him.

Larsen says the weapon was sent to the BCA for testing, however they have not publicly released any results.

A reward is still being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person who killed Brisk.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Morrison County Sheriff's Office 320-632-9233.
