Authorities Investigating String of Burglaries in Litchfield

LITCHFIELD -- Authorities in Meeker County are investigating a string of burglaries in Litchfield.

Sheriff Brian Cruze says from October 1st they have been investigating 13 burglaries at homes, businesses and sheds.

On Tuesday police used a search warrant for a property in the 400 block of South Austin in Litchfield as part of the investigation. Authorities say they found over 200 suspected stolen items linked to at least four of the burglaries.

A traffic stop in Cass County also recovered some additional stolen items.

Cruze says they have identified multiple suspects and continue to determine if the burglaries are connected. No arrests have been made in the burglaries.

Police are reminding you to keep your homes, sheds and vehicles locked and to report any suspicious activity.
