Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon for Andrea M. Murphy, 69 who passed away Sunday at her home in Huntsville, Alabama. Rev. Blane Wasnie will officiate and burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery in St. Wendel, MN. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Avon.

Andrea was born February 7, 1946 to Walker and Ruby (Broadway) Land in Macon, Georgia. She married James J. Murphy on June 23, 1967 in Alabama. Andrea was active in Toastmasters, Becoming Outdoor Women and the DNR. She owned Atalanta Lady and was a Master NRA Instructor. She trained individuals as well as trained trainers on gun safety. She loved hunting, fishing, shooting and was a great storyteller. As well as being a great huntress, she always maintained both her “Southern Bell” and “Princess” status. Andrea will be missed by the many friends and family she loved.

Andrea is survived by her daughter, Michelle L. Murphy; brother, Clifford (Katie) Land of Huntsville, Alabama; nephews, Kenneth and Bobby Land and niece, Sondra (Land) Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. in 2004; parents and grandparents.
