Adults Can “Roll” Into Fun This Saturday in St. Cloud
For those of us that grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, one of the favorite past times, and places to hang out with friends was at the Roller-Skating rink.
In my small hometown in North Carolina, we had a quaint little rink to skate in that was the first place in our town to show things on a video screen, like MTV. As a nerdy teenage boy, that was the ideal place to go. But of course, it was a small town, there wasn’t much else there.
As we grew older, a lot of us grew out of roller skating as a hobby, or something that we did regularly. One of the reasons was that it seemed like there were more things to do. And of course, when we learned to drive, that was the four-wheeled focus we had.
If you used to enjoy skating, but haven’t been in a while, your chance is coming Saturday night. Between 8:15 and 10:30, Skatin’ Place in St. Cloud is offering an adult only skating session.
The kids will have headed home, and you hang with your significant other, friends and other adults. In addition to skating, there will be laser tag, food, and drinks available as well.
There is an admission fee for everyone who goes in, even if you just want to hang out. If you’re a college student, bring your Student ID and you’ll get in free.
Skatin’ Place is on Southway Drive in St. Cloud.
If you’re looking for a way to unwind for a bit, or maybe get a break from kids calling your name, this may be right up your alley.
