SAUK RAPIDS - The 6th Annual Sauk Rapids Fireman's Dance is this Saturday night. .38 Special will be taking the stage at 9:00 p.m. outside of Rollies Rednecks and Longnecks. This Southern Rock band has been playing together for more than three decades. Some songs you might hear are "Hold On Loosely", "Rockin Into The Night", "Fantasy Girl", "Chain Lightnin'", among many more. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Sauk Rapids Volunteer Fire Department.  Sauk Rapids Fireman Jared Gapinski says all of the proceeds then get put back into the community.

Whether it's scholarships for the high schoolers in the Sauk Rapids area, or the tools and equipment that we buy with the proceeds, we got our big open house for fire prevention week in October. We also hit all the schools, and teach the kindergartners and first graders and give them packets every year so they understand what fire is and what it can do. Our proceeds generally go back out into the public.

Tickets for this show are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Gates will be opening at 5:00 p.m. Kicking off this year's show will be the band Muffin Man. They will be taking the stage at 6:00 p.m.  Again .38 Special will be taking the stage at 9:00 p.m.
