Woman Charged with Crashing Car into Apartment Building

ROCHESTER -- Prosecutors have charged a Rochester woman with crashing her car into an apartment.

Sixty-year-old Debra Rae Jensen is scheduled to make her initial appearance Aug. 16 in Olmsted County District Court on two counts of gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation.

Police found a car lodged in an apartment living room on Monday evening. According to a criminal complaint, officers determined Jensen had been driving. Her eyes were watery, her speech was slurred and she couldn't concentrate. Two preliminary breath tests indicated alcohol in her system. Results from a blood test are pending.

Two adults and a 2-month-old infant were in the apartment when the car crashed into it. The child was covered with shattered glass and sustained a cut on her finger.
