CROSSROADS HONORS -- The off-duty officer who stopped a lone-wolf terrorist’s rampage through the Crossroads Center shopping mall in St. Cloud last fall was honored last night. The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association gave Officer Jason Falconer their "Officer of the Year" award. Falconer was shopping when he engaged and killed Dahir Adan, who had stabbed ten people.

 

POLICE BODY CAMERAS -- As the popularity of body cameras for police officers grows, a debate is brewing about whether officers should have access to the video before writing their reports on incidents of deadly force. Minnesota police chiefs heard both sides of the argument Monday at their annual convention in St. Cloud.

 

SUPER BOWL COPS -- The Minneapolis Police Department is asking St. Cloud and several other police departments to help handle security for the upcoming Super Bowl. The officers are needed to help Minneapolis cops handle security for 14 NFL Super Bowl events leading up to the big game itself at US Bank Stadium.

 

MOTORCYCLE FATALITY IDENTIFIED -- Police have released the name of that motorcycle driver killed last Friday afternoon at Benton Drive and First Street South. Police say 51-year-old Kraig Menke, of Sartell, did not survive the crash.

 

CORN STALK BALE FIRE -- Fire destroyed a large number of corn stalk bales Monday in Brockway Township near St. Stephen. They had to use a backhoe to break up the bales to help put out the fire.
