Here's a WJON FlashBriefing for April 18, 2017.

I-94 CRASH -- A four-vehicle crash on wet eastbound I-94 near Clearwater has sent a Cold Spring man to the hospital. The State Patrol says 64-year-old Kevin Doering's vehicle was changing lanes when he hit a semi, went into the median and back onto the interstate where he was hit by another big-rig truck and then he hit a car. NON-life threatening injuries for Doering -- and no one else was hurt.

DRUG BUST -- Sentencing in June for a California man, who pleaded guilty to transporting 50-pounds of marijuana through central Minnesota. 32-year-old John Nilmeyer was initially stopped in Sauk Centre for having tinted tail lights and failing to signal a lane change.

STRIDE ACADEMY -- Leaders of the STRIDE Academy charter school are hoping to keep the school alive, even while making plans to close at the end of the school year. Leaders are looking for a new authorizer.

STEARNS SHERIFF -- With the retirement of Sheriff John Sanner, Stearns County commissioners will be taking applications and appointing the next sheriff to serve until the end of 2018.

MTC TRANSIT CENTER -- When construction closes 5th Avenue to traffic downtown this summer, the Metro Bus transit center will be moving a block over. Starting in early June, busses will call the Ladyslipper lot downtown their new home.
