SARTELL -- With the opening of Pinecone Central Park, the Sartell Park Commission is looking at what improvements are needed at their other park locations.

Rotary Park, Champion Field and Val Smith Park are three parks Sartell will be looking at upgrading.

Mary Degiovanni is the Sartell City Administrator. She says upgrading the parks is something the Park Commission hasn't looked at in awhile.

Degiovanni says the Park Commission has discussed the possibility of adding a concession/restroom building to Champion field, build a new shelter at Val Smith park and expand parking at Rotary Park.

The Park Commission is always looking at what upgrades can be made to improve the city parks.

Pinecone Central Park was officially opened last month.

Should action be required plans would be sent to the city council for approval.
