Wild End Skid With 4-3 Win Over Edmonton
The Minnesota Wild ended their 8-game winless streak with a 4-3 home win over Edmonton Thursday night. Niklas Backstrom improved to 16-0 against Edmonton at home in his career. He had 27 saves. Marek Zidlicky had 3 assists and Mikko Koivu, Dany Heatley, Jordan Palmer, and Pierre-Marc Bouchard each scored a goal for the Wild.
Minnesota improves to 21-12-6 and with 48 points remains 2 point back of Vancouver for first place in the Northwest Division. The Wild host Phoenix at 5pm Saturday, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 4:35.
