ONAMIA - Walls of ice from Lake Mille Lacs are crashing into houses and are creating headaches for a local resort.

These walls of ice are driven by high winds from the lake. The ice has busted into homes and has even blocked lanes on Highway 169. Much of the 200 mile lake is still covered by ice.

An Onamia resort has recently been dealing with the ice after it crept up onto its golf course.  PGA Golf Professional with Izatys Resort, Tim Murphy says the ice has piled onto the course.

"This is supposed to be the green for one of the holes, it's hard to tell with all the ice in the way," Murphy says.

Resort owners and fishermen are hoping warmer temperatures will melt the ice in time for next weekends fishing opener.
