WAITE PARK -- The City of Waite Park is holding a public open house tonight to showcase their plans for River's Edge Park. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. you can give your opinion and feedback on the city's master plan for the park.

The city plans to use half-cent sales tax dollars to extend the parking lot between the splash pad and the Babe Ruth baseball fields. They also hope build an additional walking trail and wrap it around the perimeter of the park.

Some board members have requested that the city include a dog park and pickle ball courts. Representatives will hold a short presentation at 5:30 p.m. outlining their vision for the future of the park.

The open house will be held at the Waite Park City Hall which is located at 19 13th Avenue North in the Council Chambers.
